About Me!
Hi, I’m Brooke Babbit, a photographer based in Atlanta, Georgia, and the creator of The Babbit Collective!
My love for photography began in the summer of 2020 in Paris, France, where I studied film photography in an intensive month-long program. I spent hours in the darkroom learning how light, texture, and emotion come together to tell a story — sometimes skipping time exploring the city just to perfect a single print. That experience sparked something in me that’s never faded.
When I returned home, I dove into every photography class I could take. My teacher even created an independent study so I could keep experimenting and pushing myself creatively. Over time, I found that what I loved most wasn’t just taking pictures — it was capturing stories. That’s what led me toward photojournalism and to photographing people, places, and cultures that inspire me.
Travel is a huge part of my creative process. Whether I’m wandering through small European streets, coastal towns, or my own city, I’m constantly inspired by the beauty and complexity of everyday life. Each new place offers a fresh perspective and another story waiting to be told.
I started The Babbit Collective because I wanted to share those stories beyond a camera or screen — to give them a home. My goal is to create photographs that don’t just decorate a space but say something — images that carry emotion, movement, and a sense of place. I want people to hang a photo on their wall and feel connected to a moment, even if they weren’t there to see it. Through The Babbit Collective, I hope to make storytelling something you can live with — something that reminds you of the beauty, honesty, and rhythm of the world we share.
